Before this, he served as Deputy Librarian at the National Institute of Technology Rourkela, Odisha; Deputy Librarian at Thapar University, Patiala, Punjab; and Knowledge Management Consultant at TATA Consultancy Services, Bangalore. He has over 26 years of professional experience in Library Management, Knowledge Management, Program/Project Management, using Enterprise Content Management tools such as SharePoint, Documentum, and InQuira. Has a strong understanding of business processes and integration strategies, with techno-functional expertise across different industrial areas, specializing in global delivery models. He was also a recipient of the 2008 Endeavour Research Fellowship to visit Australia as part of his research study at the School of Computer Science and Mathematics, Victoria University, Melbourne. Here, he investigated KOS aspects such as ontology, taxonomy, concept maps, metadata, information visualization, user experience, search strategy, and others w.r.t Digital Libraries and Electronic Theses and Dissertations. His academic background is MLIS (Master of Library & Information Science) from Karnatak University, Dharwar, securing a high First Class and Gold Medal. Recipient of the National Merit Scholarship twice. Completed PGDLAN (Post Graduate Diploma in Library Automation and Networking) from the University of Hyderabad, Hyderabad. Also qualified for the Maharashtra State Eligibility Test (M-SET) for lectureship. Published and presented over 46 technical papers in the field of Library and Information Science (LIS), and Knowledge Management (KM), both in national and international conferences/journals, and also attended various professional training programs. Authored a few chapters in Books & Encyclopedia at the national and international levels. Life member of library associations like ILA, IASLIC, BOSLA, SIS & ALISP (Online).
